About

I am a Social Science Researcher with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and I focus on child passenger safety issues. I graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I spent two years working with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation in Washington, DC before deciding to go to graduate school. My time with the Alliance made me interested in studying nutrition and cognitive development. I studied fatty acids and cognitive development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in May 2016 with a degree in Developmental Psychology. I spent two years in a post-doctoral position at Nationwide Children’s Hospital with Dr. Sarah A. Keim focused on the role of fatty acids in cognitive development in children with autism and children exposed to marijuana in utero.
